This project came to me at Emerge Studio. The organizers of the Festival of the Moving Image wanted a poster that conveyed a sense of movement and diversity. I thought that showing a changing color pattern and a film strip flying out of the reel.
A minimal design was preferred since elements of the poster would need to be recreated by animation students.
